Training and Documentation Services

TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) offers Training and Documentation services to provide the necessary background and skills required in the administration of TCS and third party communications systems. Instruction is provided on the architecture, features, and environment of the target system; signal flow and block diagrams are reviewed in detail. Functional classroom demonstrations provide a sense of the system's capabilities and the scope of its administration.

Training and Documentation Methodology

TCS provides a broad range of training services from classroom training to computer-based interactive training (CBIT) courses. TCS training course curriculum covers the full spectrum from generalized technology courses to specific product-based practical instruction. Training can be delivered either in our state-of-the-art facilities in Atlanta, Georgia or globally as required, including in combat zones.

TCS Documentation methodology includes best-of-breed commercial practices or MIL-STD practices based on customer needs to deliver the highest quality technical manuals and documentation at the desired cost point.

Training and Documentation Objectives

TCS Training and Documentation can be vendor-specific (such as USMC/WPPL-D and Viasat/Linkway S2, etc.) or technology-specific (such as SATCOM, CISCO Lab, etc.).

TCS provides online access and specific interfaces to allow users to focus on areas of special interest. Instructions for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the various deployed communications systems are reinforced with practical, hands-on instructions. Upon a successful completion of training, users should be able to describe the features and capabilities of the target system, understand installation and set-up procedures, and are able to perform appropriate system maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. Instructions on configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the systems are reinforced with practical, hands-on experience.

Track Record of Performance

TCS training and documentation portfolio includes such programs as:

  • U.S. Army JNN (Joint Network Node)
  • U.S. Army SNAP (SIPR/NIPR Access Point)
  • U.S. Marine Corps SWAN (Support Wide Area Network)
  • U.S. Marine Corps WPPL (Wireless Point-to-Point Link)
  • Commercial customized training packages

TCS has developed specific Program of Record (POR) documentation expertise to include Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP), Configuration Management (CM), Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Physical Configuration Audit (PCA).

Duration and Price

TCS' courses are typically of customized durations depending upon actual customer requirements and associated lesson plan. Classes are available in the TCS classroom facility in Atlanta, upon request.
