Certification & Accreditation

TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) has partnered with Covenant Security Solutions to offer SwiftLink® Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages.

Security Policy Review and Development

TCS prepares and provides independent reviews of the following policy documents required for the system certification process by your agency. The documents include but are not limited to:

• System Security Authorization Agreements (SSAAs)
• System Security Plans (SSPs)
• Security Concept of Operations (SECONOPs)
• Security Requirements Traceability Matrix (SRTM)
• Trusted Facility Manual (TFM)
• Security Features User’s Guide (SFUG)

TCS also provides support for the C&A process across multiple governmental guidelines and agencies, including but not limited to:

• DoD Information Technology Security Certification & Accreditation Process (DITSCAP)
• DoD 8500
• NSA/CSS Information System Certification and Accreditation Process Guide (NISCAP)
• Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS) Certification and Accreditation Guide
• Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID 6/3)

Certification and Accreditation Testing Support

TCS provides your organization with documentation and testing support for certification and accreditation processes. Realizing that this can be a daunting task for even the largest and most seasoned organization, TCS works closely with you to:

• Organize tasks into easily manageable steps that will satisfy all security testing and accreditation requirements required for the successful certification and accreditation of your SwiftLink product
• Define, develop, and assist in the execution of required documentation to support system evaluations with your organization’s certifying organization

TCS’ partner, Covenant Security Solutions, offers a phased approach designed to ease the experience of managing security and provides a complete 360-degree process that will leave you feeling empowered, not overwhelmed, by the security process. The three phases of our approach to providing C&A for your SwiftLink product are:

• Security risk/needs assessment - We work closely with you to develop a tailored approach and mitigate risks for a smooth C&A process.
• Security policy development - We define and develop certification documents for your organization based on current guidance and regulations.
• Certification and accreditation testing - We also define, develop, and execute test scripts or test procedures required to support system evaluations for the C&A process.
